Riptide

An exhibition of experimental practices in
creative and tech of unconventional making.

What is Riptide?

Riptide is a design exhibition that features the most experimental works of ambitious creatives and builders, bridging artistry with unconventional methods of making.

Riptide is also an initiative — it gives young experimenters the space and audience, digitally and physically, to present their ideas of how design operates at the intersection of all things, beyond corporate conventions.

We make with our hands, with machines, with living systems, and with technologies that increasingly think and act alongside us. A canvas can sit on a desk or stretch across an environment. A work can begin with a material, a line of code, an observation, or a question that has no clear medium yet.

Riptide gathers creators whose work moves between these scales.
